I. Product Description

The electric vehicle heat pump air conditioning system training platform is designed to demonstrate the structure, working principles, and diagnostic procedures of a pure electric vehicle air conditioning and thermal management system. It includes an electric compressor, air conditioning evaporator assembly, PTC heating unit, thermal management module, condenser assembly, cooling fan, and a measurement panel.

Each component is mounted according to its relative position in an actual vehicle, accurately presenting the installation layout, electrical connections, and operational relationships among the main components of the system. The platform supports both structural understanding and diagnostic testing of the complete air conditioning and heating system. A detection panel is provided to facilitate circuit measurements and functional analysis of the system.

II. Product Configuration

  • The equipment frame is constructed from 2.5 mm thick square tubing to ensure mechanical strength and stability. The outer shell is made from 2 mm high-quality steel sheet, precisely cut by laser and shaped using CNC bending technology for durability and aesthetic appeal.
  • The base of the frame and the measurement panel columns feature laser hollowing technology combined with integrated LED lighting to create a modern appearance and enhance student engagement. The front measurement panel is produced from 8 mm transparent acrylic using UV spray finishing. The operational layout is ergonomically designed to ensure safe and convenient use.
  • The platform allows connection with a diagnostic interface for reading and clearing system fault codes, monitoring dynamic data streams, setting operational parameters, and performing additional diagnostic procedures.
  • The air-conditioning refrigeration circuit retains the same configuration as a real vehicle system, supporting refrigerant charging, circulation, and testing. The platform includes a touch control screen that replicates the functions of an original vehicle’s air-conditioning interface, enabling operations such as cooling, heating, airflow direction control, and mode switching of the heat pump system.
  • The detection panel provides test points for detailed circuit analysis using instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • The main components include an electric compressor, evaporator assembly, low-voltage PTC heater, condenser assembly, touch control screen, air conditioning control unit, cooling fan, and complete piping system. The unit also features a fault simulation and detection system with 34 testing terminals for hands-on diagnostic training.

III. Practical Training Projects

The platform supports practical exercises such as studying the structure of electric compressors and electric heating modules, analysis of high-voltage interlock systems, and understanding the integrated thermal management system and heat pump circuit.

Additional exercises include inspection and troubleshooting of evaporator damper motors for face, foot, and cooling-heating door control, as well as internal and external air circulation dampers. Trainees can also perform diagnostic analysis of indoor, outdoor, and evaporator temperature sensors, refrigerant pressure switches, and various solenoid valves related to battery heating, cooling, and air-conditioning functions.
